Friday nights meeting was one that will be remembered. Rod Goodall gave not only an emotional testimony, but also an inspiring one as well. A family friend of Rod's was taken early in life from a tragic accident. That young man's name was Riley. Riley had a dream to start a high school fishing team at his school. Three days before his accident Riley wrote his principal a letter giving details of his plans and also telling how great his church's revival services had been. That fishing team today has 60 to 70 kids. Those kids are not just fishing and learning how to fish, but are also growing in Christ. Riley may not be with us today, but his impact on his community will always be remembered. We would like to thank Rod for sharing his story with us.
On Saturday Justin & Neil Romines looked to defend their points championship with a victory. They brought to the scales 11.81lbs. Points leaders Dave Fiegle & Todd Haymond are not going to make it easy for them finishing second with a weight of 11.60lbs. Justin & Neil did manage to cut one point off their 3 point deficit going into the last tournament of the year. Third place finishers were Andy & Eric Partilla who weighed in 9.13 lbs. keeping them still within striking range of the points title as well. Big bass honors went to Dave & Todd weighing in a 3.17 small mouth. Next tournament will be on the Kankakee River on July 28th.
