What a way to kick off the 2013 South MS Fishers of Men Series. Started off the seasons first meeting hosted by First Baptist Church Bay St. Louis and it was great. The men’s ministry served an awesome meal and Brother Randall Childs shared one great message. You know we read our Bibles and Gods word but some things we just don’t realize. In the message we realized that Noah’s Ark did not have a steering wheel. Noah had Faith that God would steer the ark and he did. That’s what we need to do with our lives. To often we try to drive instead of letting God drive us. Turn loose of the wheel and be a passenger for a while. I promise, you will see a lot more during your trip.
During the meeting we gave away a ton of door prizes. Thanks to Sport Trail Trailers, RipALip Shirts, Dockside Marine, Richard Parker, MarshBass.com, Louisiana Fish Fry Products, Southern Comfort Charters, Woods Water & Bayou Ministries, and all our national sponsors for all that you do to make this happen.
The day of fishing Saturday was tough. As the bags started coming in, Joel Mayfield and James Harvey came to the scales with 5 nice fish weighing in at 8.89 which would hold on to 3rd place for the day. Finishing in 2nd place would be Donald Parker and Wes Jarvis with a 5 fish sack weighing in at 9.45. Great job guys. Going into the tour the conversation was whoever caught the kicker fish would probably win the event and so it did. Wayne Ladner and Sam Husley came to the scales pulling out a river toad weighing 6.57 lbs. and a 5 fish total of 11.93 to take the event win, big fish, tour plaques and a great paycheck. Great job guys and already looking forward to the next event at Flint Creek Feb. 9th. See everyone there.
GOD BLESS
