Hey folks! It was a crazy weekend for the SC upstate Fishers of Men Trail. All I can say is that the devil lost. We really struggled to pull this one off with an ice storm rolling in and 24 degree temps on Friday. All you have to do is take a look at Dan Morrow’s (proud father of Troy Morrow FLW pro) boat. We had some safety issues with the Friday night meeting and had to do some things out of the norm there. But, many of you made the meeting anyway and we had an AWESOME host Church. Thank you pastor Bryan Holder and all of the great cooks of Marathon Pickens Church. You guys went way beyond the call of duty for us.

Tim Brooks brought a quick message to us about hidden sin - how we all have fallen short. Any of you that are without sin, cast the first stone. It really struck home to the guys as we had more prayer requests than I have ever seen at a meeting. We also had one rededication and several others that asked for some help dealing with some things in their life. Thanks as well to Jimmy Rogers for sharing your story as we all will be praying for you as you wait on a heart transplant.

One of our chaplains will be following up with that. Also, thanks so much to Rodney Floyd, who has stepped up as chaplain this year. I really need you brother and your help is so important as we complete our mission.
Onto tournament day - the fish bit well but they were hard to find. I know many were caught in up to 45 and 50 foot deep with a drop shot. But I also witnessed guys catching fish on a topwater bait, as well as slamming a jig in 4 ft. Well, the Tidwell boys came back home to Fishers Of Men and made a big check of $2,180.00. Not bad for a 36 boat tournament at a $150 entry fee! We ended up paying a total of 7 places but 9 teams ended up with checks as many of the top guns did not get into the bonus bucks pot.

Kewoee Standings will be posted soon!

Next, we are on to Lake Greenwood as we will be fishing out of Greenwood State Park the last Saturday in February. Our pre-tournament meeting will be in 96 SC (please see our website for maps). I know the fish will be fattening up and wanting to get ready to bed so I expect we will see the 4 to 8 lb fish that Lake Greenwood is known for. What many of you may not know is that many reports state that this is the most fertile of all the SC lakes. Expect the prespawn spinner bait , jig, and crankbait bite to be on.

I would be remiss without mentioning all of our trail and divisional sponsors.
