If you are looking for a first-class bass fishing experience with an opportunity to advance to regional and national competitions then Fishers of Men is for you!

If you are looking for great bass fishing competition with an outstanding payout in the Albemarle Sound area, then the NC East Division of Fishers of Men is for you!

But more importantly, you will be spiritually challenged, inspired and encouraged along the road of life. If this is the type of adventure you are looking for, then Fishers of Men is for you!

The 2010 season will be the fourth year for the NC East Division Team Series. We are looking forward to a great year of fishing, fun and fellowship.

The Friday night meetings, with food, prizes and inspiration are what sets Fishers of Men apart from other trails. Our anglers tell us that the meeting is their favorite part of the tournament. The fellowship with other members is eagerly anticipated at each event. Many of our members have made new friendships that will last a lifetime.

Our members and guests are spiritually encouraged and challenged by messages from inspirational speakers. During the past three years we have seen God's hand at work in the lives of our fishermen. Five members have come to put their trust in Him and 71 have rededicated themselves to be more like Him.

Then there is the food, it is second to none. Each meal is catered by a local restaurant and desserts are home made. You can't beat that and you will not go away hungry! In addition to all of this, you can win lots of fishing tackle and apparel with our raffles and door prizes.

2009 was an outstanding year for the NC East Division. In April, Kevin Jones and Mike Poston won the National Championship held on the Red River in Shreveport, LA. They were awarded a 2010, TR 20 Triton bass boat and cash worth $48,160. Kevin and Mike also repeated as NC East Division Points Champions with a come from behind victory at the last tournament of the season.

In October, at the East Regional held at Smith Mountain Lake near Roanoke, VA, the team of Eric Tilley and Don Porter became the 2009 East Region Champions. They also won a TR 18 Triton bass boat and cash which amounted to $30,472.

Over the past three years, the NC East Divsion members have won a National Championship and two East Regional Championships. In the process, the total winnings for all members in Division events and Regional and National Championships is over $163,000.00. This includes three bass boats won during a 3-year period.

We are excited that four teams from our division have qualified to represent NC East at the 2009 National Championship on Lake Guntersville in Alabama in April.

Please download a membership form and entry form from the website. (See tabs above) Next, mail them to Chuck Cullens,124 River Haven Dr.,Hertford, NC 27944. Each angler must pay an annual membership fee of $40.00. Your annual membership must be paid prior to the first tournament.

Entry fees are due no less that 8 days prior to the tournament date. A late fee of $25 will be charged for entry fees received after the deadline or paid at the Friday night meeting. Entry fees may be paid in full for the entire season if you choose to pay ahead of time. The entry fee for 2010 will be $160.00 per boat per tournament. Please make all checks payable to Fishers of Men.
