Saturday, June 19th was the forth tournament event for the 2010 season of the VA East Division of Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail. The tournament conditions included 80 degrees and HOT at blast-off and the tempatures reached a hot and humid 98 degrees at weigh in. .

The pre-tournament meeting included food, fun and fellowship in an uplifting environment. 180 fishermen and family members attended the meeting, where they were served complimentary and delicious meals including baked ziti, bread, salad and cookies for dessert. Jerry and Patrice provided incredible music and entertainment for the anglers and their families. The night’s moving message was brought to us by our friend, Brother in Christ and VA East Angler Ret. Col Brian Lindamood. The Lord touched many hearts that evening with 1 in attendance making their first dedication to the Lord. Also, 9 attendees indicated that the rededicated their life to Christ. I want to thank the entire Grace Baptist Church, Neal Atkinson, Becky and Xan Callaway and Thomas Edmunds for making this event a success. Many hands helped make this event a huge success!

Congratulations to the participants who won over $1,000 in door prizes. Throughout the season the VA East Division will raffle off over $5,000 retail value of merchandise at our events. Lee and Chris Couch became eligible to win $160 for finishing just out of the money. This is some of the many ways we thank our anglers for their participation.
