What a way to finish the season!! Thanks to our good friends at Collinsville Baptist church for hosting our Friday night event AND bringing meals & cold drinks to the weigh in! What servants hearts you have! Your hospitality was GREATLY appreciated by all!
Our last stop of our 2012 VA West FOM season found us at Philpott lake. After taking a year Philpott off of our schedule due to the congested ramp area. We returned to the newly improved Twin Ridge ramp that was incredible.

Eleven faithful teams participated in this event and the search for monster bass/bags proved to be very challenging.
Coming in first place was the team of Eric Rumley - Robert Campbell. This was their first season with FOM and they finished the regular season just as they started it…WINNING. Congrats guys!
They won a total of $726 for the day including Big Fish at 3.19 lbs.
They reported catching their fish 45 ft deep on cotton candy Zoom centipeed. (They assure me that this is truthful/accurate info).
They wanted to thank the good Lord and their good friends Jared Sowers and Hunter Bradley for sharing their “honey hole” info.
Sibold - Mike Sibold continued their check earning ways be finishing second, earning them $330.
Bouncing back from their last place finish the previous tournament with a ZERO.93lb catch, were the husband/wife team of Paul Logan and Kim Browning-Logan. As Paul stated when he handed their bag in to be weighed…”we moved the decimal point”. That they did – finishing just out of the money at 9.55 lbs.
The team of Harold Black & Lacy Burnette went into this event with the season points championship lead. Just to make things interesting, the zeroed for the day. This lead to a points tie for the season with Nathan Alt & Jeff Camp, which was broken by the total weight caught for the year. Team Sibold were right on their heals, one point behind them.
Harold & Lacy shared the $405 championship pot and earned the right to fish in next spring’s 2012 national championship! Congrats guys!!
Our top finishing male/female team for the season was Tony and Penny McCraw.
Top finishing adult/Jr team was Dennis and Seth Wright.
Debbie & I wish to thank all for your help & support this season. It was full of challenges for sure, but it was also very rewarding. We are extremely eager to see what the Lord does through this division for the 2013 season, for which many prayerful plans are already under way. BIG changes are coming and I truly believe with all my heart that our 2013 campaign will be our best ever.
