The 2012 season has finally arrived after much preparation and anticipation. We opened our season at Shearon Harris Lake.
Fuquay Varina Baptist Church hosted our Friday night meeting.We want to thank Hayden Woodard for working out all the details for the awesome meal that was served. We had roast beef, roast chicken,vegetables, rolls and oh those fantastic desserts!
Associate Pastor Kevin Darnell brought the message from the gospel of Luke.He reminded us that one day all our fine boats and equipment will rust away. Then we will be left with our choice on what we did about Jesus.The choice to accept Christ as our Saviour or deny him is the most important choice we will ever make.
There were two people who accepted Christ, two who had questions about the Christian life and six rededications. Praise God! Thanks Pastor Kevin for speaking the truth!

Saturday morning was interesting to say the least.We usually say it dawned but we could not tell what the dawn was like because of the very thick fog.You could not even see the "no wake" bouy in front of the ramp. We did not blast off until about 8:30 when the fog finally began to lift.
The fishing was not typical for this lake in March either. As the weigh-in progressed, it was obvious that the big females were not in the mood to play.
The team of Roger Clary and Merle Knott brought 16.21 lbs to the scales for 1st place and a total winnings of $1,453.50. David Barbour and Terry Hobbs had 14.08 lbs anchored by a 7.17 lunker. Shannon (Aaron)Stuart and Timothy George were 3rd with 13.58 lbs.Close behind in 4th place were Tim Goad and Mark Williams with 13.43 lbs. Rounding out the top 5 were Justis Bobbitt and Bob Williamson with 12.71 lbs. 1st place big fish weighing 8.46 lbs was caught by Randy Goss and Todd Moser. 2nd place big fish of 7.94 lbs was brought in by Tony Barham and Rick Ohlson.
The BBC winners were the teams of Tony Barham/ Rick Ohlson, Danny Lyons/ Josh Williamson, David Sasser/ Gus Hrach and Todd Durham/Todd Rich. These teams will collect their BBC, if both team memmbers are present at the Friday meeting at Lake Gaston Baptist Church. Looking forward to seeing everyone at Lake Gaston.
