Bayou Black Results: Feb 18, 2012
Rain, and more rain. That is how we ended our second Tournament of 2012 at Bayou Black.
We began on Friday night with a dinner of Subway sandwhiches and a message from Quinitn entitled "What's in a Name". Our meeting was hosted by our friends at Bob's Bayou Black Marina in Gibson, La. Bob stayed open late for us and as always, treated us like kings, thanks Bob!!
The rain held off for Blast Off of our field of 25 boats Saturday morning. It did not hold off long enough for everyone to come back in unfortunately, as all were wet and ready for some dry clothes.
Rain did not stop Ken Sherman and Marc Lowenthal from claiming 1st place with a limit weighing 17.26 lbs.!
They also had 2nd big fish at 4.47 lbs. Congratulations!
Second Place goes to Joe Hocke and Warren Rome. They brought in 5 fish that topped the scales at 15.71 lbs. Looks like Joe and Warren found the right spots. Keep up the good fishing guys.
Third place goes to Marlon Moore and Mike Kelly. They had 5 fish that added up to an impressive 12.71 lbs. Thanks Marlon and Mike.
Fourth place goes to Doug and Brandon Bergeron. They braved the rain to bring in 5 fish that weighed 12.15 lbs. Thanks Doug and Brandon.
Fifth place goes to the team of Will Courtney and Bobby Fowler. They too had 5 fish with a weight of 11.85 lbs. and they took first place big fish with a nice 5.59 beauty.
Thanks Will and Bobby.
It was a great day in spite of the rain. Thanks to all the anglers who braved the elements to do the sport they love. We give God all the glory for keeping those on the water safe.
Looking forward to next month at Lake Verrett.
