Kankakee River Results: Mar 24, 2012
The Northern Illinois Division kicked off it's 2012 season friday night. Our meeting was held at Gander Mountain in Joliet. We thank them for letting us use their store for the evening. Our guest speaker was Cory Stuart,who delivered a great message to us men. Dave Feigle won the grand prize for the evening an $180 detail to Dolphin Carwash in Morris.
With temperatures in the eighties all week,it seemed like the weather and the fishing would be excellent for this time of year. On Saturday a cold front came through the area dropping the water temperatures eight degrees by the end of the day. That didn't seem to matter to the team of Andy & Eric Partilla or to the team of Nick Baudino. Both teams were able to bring some quality fish to the scales. The team of Andy & Eric Partilla pulled off another win weighing in 9.86 lbs. Nick Baudino weighed in at 9.38 lbs. Third place went to 2011 champs Justin Romines & Cory Stuart weighing in 7.23 lbs. I would like to thank all the fishermen who came out and made the tournament a huge success. Our next tournament will be held at Lake Clinton on April 28th.
