~~Jones and Fain win the Ameriprise 1st place on Loudoun
Story by Steve Jennings

The third East Tennessee Fishers of Men Tournament was held on Fort Loudoun and Tellico Lake.

Kingston Pike Baptist Church was the host church again this year.  The women and men of the church love to host the event every year and we are so thankful for them.   After a great meal we went over to the church where we listened to an inspiring message from our brother in Christ, Pastor Gary Lynn.
The Ameriprise First place went to the talented team of Ronny Jones and Bailey Fain.  This team came to the scales with a 5-fish limit weighing in at 14.61 pounds they also had the big fish of the tournament a massive 6.49-pound largemouth bass. The duo reported running their Mercury powered boat all over the lower end of the lake to catch their fish. Ronny stated they used many different lures during the day fishing around shallow rocks.  Bailey caught the big fish off a dock using a swimbait.
They also get the first place Berkley Cast for Cash money to add to their winnings.

Second place went to the team of Ben and Bobby Boggs who brought 13.70 pounds to the scales. This father and son team came to the scales with five fish weighing in at 13.70 pounds.  Ben reported staying on the lower end of the lake catching their fish on Carolina rig off secondary points.

Third place went to Brian Jordan and Michael Smith who came to the scales with 11.60 pounds of bass.  Brian reported running his new 4 Stroke Mercury over 70 miles to bring back the 3rd place bag of fish.  Brian said the they used a jig to catch fish from wood and rocks.  This team gets the second place Berkley Cast for Cash award in addition to their winning.  This team is sponsored by White Pine Marine, Dixie Custom Reels and Baits, Nitro, Mercury, Lowrance, Subline and ToteRite.WWW.TOTERITE.COM

Fourth place went to the team of Rod Garrett and Paul Rogers.  This knowable team came in with 8.73-pounds of bass to take fourth place.  Rod reported catching their fish on a worm in shallow water.  This team is sponsored by Mack’s Auto Glass Express and Custom Body Shop.

The Lucky Dawg award which is White Pine Marine pays the next entry for the team that finished one place out of the money.  This time goes to the team of George Headden and Rick Ellis.  George reported they caught over 20 fish during the day.  They started with a spinnerbait but as the day went on, switched to a shakey head.  This team is sponsored by Rick Ellis Home Inspection.
