Day Two of the Shakespeare Legacy National Championship is underway from beautiful Lake Keowee in Seneca South Carolina. Again day two gave us beautiful weather with the temperatures in the upper 60’s with a few high clouds as the anglers launched from South Cove County Park in search of a limit of bass.

As the anglers begin to bring their catches to the scales it seemed that the fish were biting for day two with only a few anglers not bringing any fish to the scales. During the end of the weigh-in we had a brief disruption as Big Foot was sited in the area and made his way to the weigh in stage, luckily for everyone this was a friendly Big Foot as he was just out trying to catch a few fish. After all the anglers had weighed their fish we crowned a Champion and gave away some good money in a drawing at the end of the day.

Collin and Bradley Smith from SC Upstate had the heaviest weight for two days with a total of 6 fish weighing 17.78 lbs. giving the win and bragging rights as the Shakespeare Legacy National Championship for 2019. Jason and Ethan Thrasher from SC upstate finished in second place with a two day weight of 17.63 lbs. Third place went to the team of Steve Wilson and Jessie Franklin from AL North East moving all the way up from 12th place after day one with a total weight of 16.69 lbs. The SC Low Country team of Ronald and Lane Mueller took home fourth place with a two day total of 15.67 lbs. Chris and Wesley Wells from SC Upstate took fifth place honors with a two day weight of 15.49.

Day one big fish went to Jessie Franklin with a weight of 4.09 lbs. and Day two big fish went to Austin Waugh with a weight of 3.05 lbs.
