What a start to the 2020 season!
Our teams were met with cold and windy conditions on Friday and Saturday. Journey Christian Fellowship again were top notch hosts as was RockaHock campground. Associate pastor Jared Harker once again brought a message that gets straight to what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ, and to avoid the "wooden nickle" theology that changes and caters to culture. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Saturday was a cold start before the wind started, the anglers were met with tough conditions and extra low tides. The team of Ray Hogge and Kevin Whitehurst bested the field with 21.03lbs, the second place team of Mike Williams and Clay Lewis had 18.76lbs ancored by the 6.15lb big fish of the event. Brandon Hill and Kevin King rounded out the top three with 4 fish for 16.94lbs!
I just want to thank the anglers who toughed the day out and chose to start the season with us, I look forward to our next event on April 4th at Lake Chesdin!
Good luck to the teams representing Virginia East at the national championship who will be headed out soon to start practice!

RockaHock has campsites, River houses, Cottages, Villas and Yurts. they are all very nice but fill up quickly. I would reccommend making reservations as soon as possible
