2017 Stren Team Series National Championship
 SITE: Red River in Natchitoches, LA
 HOST: The City of Natchitoches, LA

Congratulations to Tim Carmouche and Cary Beard from the Louisiana South Division. Tim and Cary became the 2017 Fishers of Men National Champions with a three day total of 34.36 on the Red River in Natchitoches, LA. Beard and Carmouche claimed that they were just lucky as they jumped from one area to another. I tend to believe that luck is the art of being prepared with a skill set to match. Either way these guys were consistant enough to win that beautiful 2017 Bass Cat Cougar powered by a 250 Mercury.They started off in third place on day one and climbed to the top on day two to stay. They threw a verioty of baits to catch there fish.

Our 2nd place team won a 2017 Bass Cat Marcay powered by a 150 Mercury. Congrats to Dustin Bishop and Kyle Lear from Kentucky West for bringing in a three day total of 32.95 lbs. They caught their fish pitching brush hogs and swim jigs.  They were in first place after day one, was bumped down to second on day two and hung on tight to stay. They beat out the third place team by .50 Lb

Coming in a close third was Jason Smith and Sam Spruill from North Carolina East. They used Crankbaits to catch 32.45 lbs and win $5,000.00 Smith and Spruill were in 19th place on day one, shot up 9 places on day two and jumped to 3rd on day three.

There was a lot of moving around in the rest of our top ten teams from day one to day three. The resent floods did not do our anglers any favors. It changed the whole idenity of the River and the big bite just wasn't there. Even though it was tough , everyone was competing under the same conditions and it was Carouche and Beards time to win.
