What type witness are you? Our speaker was Pat Higgins. She told us every life has a story to tell whether we realize it or not. She shared a small part of her life’s story with us and some of the people who impacted her life. She shared Acts 1:8 and emphasized that we are to BE Witnesses for Jesus Christ. There was one profession of faith and two recommitments.

Alabama Central held our second Friday night meeting at the Arbor Building of FUMC in Alex City. The 76 people present were enjoyed BBQ meal with all the trimmings.  

Saturday morning greeted our anglers with high winds and temperature hovering at 29 degrees. Our 32 teams brought 142 fish to the scale weighting in at 278.63 pounds. 100% of the fish were released alive. First place and 1st Bonus Bucks went to the team of Hollis & Johnson with 14.09 lbs. Second place went to the father/son team of Brown & Brown with 12.52 lbs. Third place went to the team of Selix & Scardina with 11.99 lbs. including big fish at 4.3 lbs. The team of Story & Callins came in at 4th place and 2nd Bonus Bucks with 11.86 lbs. Fifth place and 3rd Bonus Bucks went to another father & son team, Barley & Barley, with 11.16. Rounding out our winners at sixth place was Sanders & Shirley with 10.74 lbs.

“But you will receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you and you will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth .”  Acts  1:8
