Our speaker for our second Legacy meeting was Rachael Pate. She is in the Honors program at Auburn University Montgomery (AUM). She brought a message of hope and promise. She told her audience that God has a plan for each of them. That our hearts should be hearts of service, not selfish. God holds our future. He is our hope and salvation. He does not promise an easy path or perfect future, but He does promise to always be there. He will always be there to guide our path and we can always leave our burdens with him. There was one profession of faith.
Our second Legacy meeting was hosted by Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Holtville. They fed the 49 youth and guests sirloin steak with all the trimmings! They are such faithful servants of the Lord! Everyone wished Mr. Walt a happy birthday and celebrated with Mrs. Pat’s homemade birthday cake!
Saturday morning dawned foggy and cool. Our 15 teams brought 42 fish to the scale weighting in at 95.34 pounds. 98% of the fish were released alive. First place and 1st Bonus Bucks went to the team of Brackin/Morris with 9.24 lbs. Second place and 2nd Bonus Bucks went to the team of Hopper/Hopper with 8.00 lbs. Third place and 3rd bonus bucks went to the team of Knoll/Knoll with 7.97 lbs. The team of Vaccaro/Vaccaro came in 4th with 7.35 lbs. Fifth place went to team of Gibson/Varon 7.24 lbs. And rounding out our winners with a big bass at 3.98 lbs. was the team of Cook/Cook. Breanan Williams won the Berkley AMP rod give away at the weigh-in. Alabama Central has a 3 fish limit.
Thanks to David and Forrest Petrey for some awesome after weigh-in hot dogs! And Mrs. Pat for our birthday cake and cookies.
“Show me the path where I should go, O Lord; point out the right road for me to walk.” Psalm 25:4
