April 22, 2017 Bible Baptist Church 

  Our third stop of the season took us to Bible Bptist Church for our Friday night meeting and to Falls Lake for the tournament. Asst. Pastor, Jimmy Hall told us that this was the largest crowd that they had served since they began hosting NC Central Fishers of Men. They served grilled pork chops and all the fixings plus great homemade desserts. Thanks Bible Baptist Church!

        I had the opportunity to share the Gospel and what was put on my heart as this is my last year as director.The Lord had put this message on my heart to share. We must stop playing with the offer Jesus gives us with forgiveness and eternal life with him. We must stop being a fan of Jesus and become a follower of Jesus!  Three people rededicated their lives to Christ.

April 23,2017

        Saturday turned out to be a nice day just a little warm upper 80's. We managed to dodge the thunder storms until after the weigh-in and we had loaded everything up. Falls Lake was being a little stingy in the last week or so. Some fish were bedding but a lot were in the post spawn funk.The weights were down for Falls Lake.

        John McBride and Chris Barnes took 1st place with 21.48 lbs and a $3,034.00 pay day. They are starting to pull away in the points race.

        2nd place was Wayne Sheppard and Tony Fox with 18.81 lbs, and winnings of $1,343.00

        3rd place was Steve Upchurch and Jeff Hodges with 17.85 lbs and $739.00

        4th place was the team of Dan Glosson and Phillip Eakes with 17.00 lbs and $599.00

        5th place was the father and son team of Howard and Justin Bohannon with 16.03 lbs and $414.00

        Big fish of 8.52 lbs was caught by Curtis Vaughn and son, Curt.

        Next stop is Central Baptist Church in Henderson and Kerr Lake, May 12th and 13th.
