The third event of the 2017 Team Series is complete. The Friday night meeting was held at the Emmanuel Christian Church of Greenfield. Thanks to Pastor Maynard and his church for hosting us again and treating us with the great all you could eat fish fry we look forward to each year. The meal also included all the extras along with some great deserts. Pastor Maynard talked with us about wanting a relationship with Christ, and why not, but most are not willing to serve him. He concluded by telling us about his work with the drug and alcohol dependant people in his area and how death from drug overdoses can impact most every family.   .

On a hot Saturday morning the boats left the east bank ramp of Rocky Fork Lake. Temperatures were expected to reach the 90’s by early afternoon so we set an early weigh-in to help fish survival and for the benefit of the fishermen. At 2:00 all the teams returned to the ramp, trailered their boats, and we went to work weighing fish. We had eleven limits brought in with a total of seventy three fish weighed.

The father and son team of Justen and Ty Fain took first place honors with five fish weighing 12.75 lb. “Great job guys”. Second place went to James Mayle and Ron Nutter who brought a limit weighing 11.56 lb to the scales. Third place went to another father son team Darren and Jordan Brumbaugh. The Brumbaughs’ had five fish that weighed 10.71 lbs. James Brown and Scott Casto took fourth with 10.19 lb followed by Tayler Coy and Jake Pequignot with 10.10 lb. Big Bass honors went to Wes Boothe and Greg Frayley with a bass weighing 4.33 lb.
