Congratulations to Jayson & Scott Threadgill weighing a whopping 25.59 pounds including a 6.73 big fish to win the NC Piedmont event on Tuckertown.
Our last event was only two weeks back and this one definitely snuck up on us. We had 27 teams join us at Antioch Baptist Church for some good barbeque and plenty of deserts. Interim pastor Scott shared a message with us about Jonah. I always learn something new when listening to some of the stories of the bible. Thanks Antioch for the great food and fellowship! Thanks to all involved who made this a special event.
The last couple of weeks have definitely brought us a lot of rain. I’d seen several pictures of Badin with log jams and was wondering if we would experience the same on Tuckertown. It ended up raining early Friday morning and making sure the water was no lighter than my favorite chocolate milk. Didn’t seem to bother the fish too much though 19 limits caught.
Our First-Place Winners of Jayson and Scott Threadgill weighing 25.59 and the big fish of 6.73 earning a little over $1,800. Second Place was taken by CJ Johnston and Matt Stanley with 24.68 pounds earning $701. Rounding out the top 3 was Ryan Henry and Nathan Williams with 22.45 pounds and a check for $580. From what I could get out of these guys many of the fish were caught on crankbaits.
