The SC Lowcountry Division kicked off the 2017 season at Chapin United Methodist Church with spaghetti, green beans, rolls and desert. Special Thanks to Sharon, Betty, Ann, Mindy and all the helpers for a great meal. Ron Barker was spot on in his brief remarks and several anglers remarked how much they enjoyed him.

Saturday morning dawned unseasonalbly warm as the 67 teams left Billy Dreher island State park looking for 5 Bigg'uns! When 3:00 o'clock rolled around so did a soaking downpour. That didn't seem to dampen the spirits of our anglers as many teams caught a nice limit of Bass.

Leading the way and taking the $5000 Guaranteed 1st Place was George Berry who fished by himself and sacked up 23.34 lbs. Congrats George!

Finishng 2nd and earning a total payday of $1912 was the always tough team of Chris Epting and Johnny Mayer with 20.71 lbs. Good to see Johnny back after a really close call last summer!

Finishing 3rd was the team of Clay Riddle and Dave Franklin who took home $1247 for their limit which weighed 20.46 lbs

Finishing 4th was the team of Randall Driggers and Josh McGregor who weighed 20.09 lbs

Rounding out the top 5 was the team of Bradley Rhodes and Chris Dorlan who weighed 19.55 lbs.

Our next Tournament should be a real slugfest on Santee Cooper Mar 11th out of Blacks Camp. Hope to see you there and bring a new team for a shot at a special side Pot!
