The Kentucky LBL division returned to Moor's Resort on Kentucky Lake on April 1st for their 2nd tournament of the year. The Friday practice day brought some rain, overcast skies and mild temperatures.

Moor's Lodge hosted the pre-tournament meeting once again. Pastor Dave Siegmann shared how the Philippian Jailer in Acts 16:25 asked Paul & Silas, "What must I do to be saved?". The answer from Acts 16:31 that they gave was “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved". Furthermore, Pastor Dave explained how that 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 tells us specifically what the Bible says we need to believe about Jesus Christ to be saved. It says we are saved if we believe “that Christ died for our sins", "And that he was buried, and that he rose again". That was the question the Philippian Jailer asked and every person today should be asking the same question. What must I do to be saved? The answer is clear from God's word that anyone who believes that Christ died for their sins, was buried and rose again, will be saved!

On Saturday we were greeted by a North wind and the sun did not shine as expected. 9 teams were registered, but 8 teams blasted off in search of a 5 fish limit of healthy Kentucky Lake bass. One surprise the teams encountered were an unusual number of fishing Kayaks due to a large Kayak Bass Tournament.

All teams that launched reported catching fish, but the team of Chris Wash & Jody Wash made all the right decisions and brought a winning sack of Largemouth to the scales. They caught all their fish on Strike King Red Eyed Shad in Chrome & Black. The Washs' secret was they kept their lines wet all day spending very little run time and maximizing their fishing time. They culled through 10 keeper bass that were all caught before the sun popped out in the afternoon. Their winning weight of 17.66 lbs. was anchored by a 5.07lbs kicker and earned them $705.00. Congratulations Chris & Jody Wash on your win!

The husband & wife team of Marlon & Debbie Brown culled 7 times to push their weight to 16.52 lbs. The Browns also had a 5.04 lbs. kicker fish. Good job Marlon & Debbie! Their effort earned them $150.00.

Coming in 3rd place with 4 fish and a 5.57lb big bass of the tournament was the team of Justin Scherer and Tony Gaither. Justin and Tony won 1st place bonus bucks and big bass to give them a total payday of $70.00

2nd place Bonus Bucks went to Chad & Lynne Long. Chad & Lynne brought in 4 fish weighing 9.85 lbs. Their efforts won them $67.50.

3rd place Bonus Bucks went to the father & son team of David & Luke Austill. 2 bass weighing 3.93lbs earned them $25.00

Our next LBL division tournament will be out of Kentucky Dam Village on May 13th. Please join us Friday night for the Pre-tournament meeting at The Cabin Bait & Tackle in Kuttawa.
