Thirteen Boats competed in our 2nd of 3 events in the SC Upstate Legacy Division.
We want to give a big shout out to First Baptist Pickens for opening their doors to us on Friday night, especially at such short notice!! Our folks felt right at home as we dug into our Chick-fil-A boxes provided by Bryan Holder and The Mill Church. It's such a blessing to have friends and support from local churches in this GREAT MINISTRY!
Travis Pace shared an inspirational message with us that not only reminded everyone that we need to depend on God, but challenged us ALL (young and old) to TRUST in Christ. He shared some of his personal struggles and how God was right there to lift him up when he turned back to Him. I was personally challenged to follow Jesus' example to LEAD my family the way Christ leads the church. We can change the world, but the change will start within ouselves and within our families FIRST!
Saturday was a beautiful day, especially in the morning at blast off. The moon was full, and there was a light breeze in our faces. It became a little warm, but all of our teams were catching fish!
