Fishers of Men fifth tournament meeting was held at Kingston Pike Baptist Church which is always a treat for the teams because this church provided some great home cooking and even better fellowship.
First place went to the team of Tim Smiley and Bobby Chambers. This seasoned  team came to the scales with a five fish limit that hit the scales at 17.06 pounds.  Tim reported catching over 100 bass during the day and half of them being keepers.  Tim also reported using a variety of different lures to catch all the those bass in 16-25 feet of water.  Tim is sponsored by Watson’s Marine, Ranger and Evinrude.
Second place went to JC Loveday and Ken Sexton the owner of White Pine Marine.  These two happy fishermen came to the scales with 12.16 pounds of bass and this bag also included the lunker of the tournament a beautiful 5.36 pound largemouth!  JC and Ken reported running the Mercury powered Nitro Boat all over the lower end of Fort Loudoun to catch their fish from rocks in 8-15 feet of water.  .
3rd place went to Brian Jordan and Michael Smith who brought 5 bass to the scales weighing in at 11.98 pounds.  Brian reported running his Mercury powered Nitro boat all over the lake to bring back their bag of fish.  This team caught fish early on top water and then went to fish deep using their Dixie Custom Rods to pull in fish from waters as deep as 18 feet using crankbaits and worms.  This team is sponsored by Mercury, Nitro Boats, Dixie Custom Rods and White Pine Marine.
The Points Championship race came down to the last tournament.  The Boggs took control after the second event and had a three point lead coming into the last tournament.  But the new team of Nathan Crisp and Jason Holder weighed in 9.75 pounds which was enough for a fifth place finish and enough points to win the race.

Next we need to thank White Pine Marine your local Mercury Dealership. Thanks also go out to Chester Wooten of C&S Lures, and last but not least Jim Walker with Tennessee Overhead Door.
