Our first tournament of the year for Fishers of Men Central Florida Legacy Division is in the books! It all started with our Friday evening meeting at the Golden Corral in Clermont. We kicked it off with a great dinner. As we were finishing up dessert, Billy Taylor blessed us with a message on remembering how we became right with the Lord and the process in how we got there. He challenged us to remember what it was like before, during and after we brought Christ into our lives. Thank you Billy. We went over rules, thanked our sponsors and handed out some great prizes. Saturday morning was a little breezy and cool, for us home grown folks that is. We had a total of 8 boats going out. We caught a total of 35 fish weighing in at 56.05lbs. No dead fish, great job guys. First place was taken by the team of Tyler and Mallory Post(along with net master Dan(aka...Dad) with 5 fish, 11.55lbs. Tyler also had big fish for the day at 3.85. Brian and Brooke Nelson took second place with 5 fish, 11.4 lbs. Brian was close behind on big bass at 3.50 lbs. The bite was tough but a good time was had by all as everyone caught fish. Bonus bucks went to the Post and Nelson teams with Dusty and Corey sneaking in in third place collecting a check as well. Billy and Ryan Taylor caught the only trash fish weighed in for an easy $25. Congratulations everyone. Our next tournament will be at Reds Fish Camp on March 4th with the meeting being held at Bass Pro Shops the Friday before.
