Our FISHERS OF MEN CENTRAL FLORIDA LEGACY divison tournament is in the books. We had our 3rd tournament this past Saturday, April 1 on the beautiful Clermont Chain of Lakes. We put in at the Minneola Boat Ramp with one other tournament present. Before the lines hit the water we gathered for our Friday meeting at the Golden Corral in Clermont. I would like to personally thank Carolyn at The Golden Corral for letting us book their meeting room at the last minute as our plans at a local church had to be changed. Billy Taylor did another outstanding job introducing us to the Andy Stanley series called "Go Fish". This one was called "Why Fish?" "We have  to fish because the message of forgiveness is not one you can find on your own". We will continue the series next month at our final meeting for the season. Thank you Billy! We could not of asked for a nicer day to fish. We had 9 boats going out at 6:50am. As usual there's always a team that manages to know where they are. Dusty and Corey McDevitt had a great gameplan and stuck to it. They crushed the competition with the winning bag of 18.40 and won big fish of 5.30lbs. Chris and Dylan Westhelle finished second with 11.85lbs and Billy and Ryan Taylor were right behind them with a 10.77 bag. We caught a total of 30 fish at a weight of 61.83lbs. We started this year doing the largest trash fish(any other fish other than a bass), Billy and Ryan hooked into a 8.40lb mudfish collecting a check for $25. Its sad to announce our last tournament meeting site and fishing location. We will meet at the First Baptist Church of Umatilla Friday night May 5 and our tournament will be held on The Harris Chain of Lakes putting in at Hickory Point on May 6.
