Well the 2017 season has come and gone, with a total of 12 Teams fishing,  over all it was a good year.

The Season started out on a High Note with the Team of Caleb Chappell and his Dad Quinton weighing in  Record Breaking Bass of 9.09 Lbs!!  This was the Largest Bass ever Weighed in at a NC East FIsher's of Men Team or Legacy Event !!!

Friday Night the Teams were treated to a cook out Style Dinner hosted by The First Church of the Nazerene in Elizabeth City. Hotdogs-Hambugers with all the Trimmings and plenty of desserts too. a Casting Contest was also held during the dinner with Anna Riggs in First Place, Ayden Combs 2nd, Will Riggs 3rd

This was our Championship Tournament Event. With only one point between each of the Top Four Spots, it was going to be a close one. Saturday started off with cooler Temps and strong west winds. But by weigh-in the winds had clamed down and the heat was on.

But at the end of the weigh-in, our Dad/Daugther Team of Jessica/David Bachanan came out on Top to be our 2017 Champs!!

This is their 3rd Championship with Our Division and will their Last. As Jessica turns the magic !8 yrs Old, Jessica will be heading over to the NC East Team Division next year., so the guys better be on their best game next year. And Jessica will be stepping into  and having to fill  some tall shoes next year as she will be taking over for her Grand-dad Buck Buchanan who is stepping out from Team Buchanan and giving his seat over to her..

Also I wantto mention In a show of Championship Style our 2015 Champ Trent Nixon came over and graduated her on her win by one point., but that if they had tiyed in points, He would have won because of Team Nixon had a heavier total of Bass caught.. This did.happen one year when Jessica and Trent tiyed in points. But that year Team Buchanan weighed in the heavist amount of fish.

Trent and his dad Kirk Nixon went on to win our last Tournament with 5 fish weighing in at 16.65 pounds. Second place went to Isaiah Seigh and his Grand-dad Patrich Seigh with5 fish weighing 16.54 and the had Big Bas at 6.53 pounds. Third Place went to Jessica & David Buchanan, the had  5 fish for 12.31 pounds.

We had a Total of 108 bass weighed in the the year, with Total weight of 216.59 pounds.GREAT JOB TEAMS!!!
