Day 2 of the District 4 on Falls lake is in the books.  We had temperatures in the low 60’s at blast-off to send out all of the teams after the national anthem.  We sent them on their way to find those best 5 green fish to win a chance to qualify for the National Championship on Lake Guntersville in April 2018.

The weights seemed to go down today with only two teams weighing in more than 14 pounds.  Howard and Justin Bohannan had the big bag for the day with 22.96 pounds.  Rodney Pope and Terry Smith had the second biggest bag of the day with 18.79 pounds.

Terry Smith and Rodney Pope were able to put together a two-day weight of 29.18 pounds to be the District 4 Champions.  This was the first event that they have ever one at a Fishers of Men event.  They put together a laydown log pattern that payed off for them on day two.  Our day 1 leaders of David and Allen Farman ended up in second place with 27.97.  The traveled way up the river to catch their large bag on Friday.  Rounding out the Top 3 was Anthony Liles and Ricky Bridgers who had a two day total of 27.82 and caught most of their fish on chatter baits.
