The third tournament of the season has come and gone.  3 Trees Church in Russell Springs greated us Friday with some fried chicken and all the fixens and after dinner we heard a great message from brother Evan.  He told us that anything that we put ahead of christ is an idol, and that when we make the decision to put christ first that he would walk with us the entire journey.  Three people renewed their commitment Friday night.

Saturday morning all 36 teams took off from Pumpkin Creek boat ramp at Lake Cumberland state park in hopes of returning with a large limit of fish.  Doug Coulter and Todd Wilson weighed in the winning sack of fish with 5 nice smallmouths weighing 19.32lbs.  They caught their fish on shakey heads and jigs.  In second place was the team of Richard Bowling and Jared Simpson with 17.95lbs.  Richard said they caught all of their fish on shakey heads.  Kelly Poynter and Chris Curry came in 3rd with 17.72lbs, they caught their fish in pockets flippin BC Lures jigs.  Big fish of the day went to the team of Cole Smith and Brad Hall, they caught a largemouth weighing 6.57lbs on a floating worm.  Our next tournament will be on Green River Lake on May 12th.
