Our third event brought us to North Florida on the St. John’s River in Palatka, FL. We were blessed with beautiful weather on the scenic City Dock’s and dodged a major fog delay that was anticipated. This event was the first in the area for the majority of the teams, as we have merged the North and Central divisions into one.
For the meeting we enjoyed some local food from Angel’s Dinner, which is the oldest dinner in Florida, they make a mean burger! During the meeting we watched a video that is both powerful and interesting in explaining God’s ultimate sacrifice, his Son. The video puts a modern viewpoint to the story and is truly eye opening. Brian Nelson and Don Fisher dominated the field with 23.62 lbs and the big bass of 5.18. Following them was a visiting Maryland member Brian Barth and his son-in-law Michael Akel with 15.13 lbs. Husband and wife team, Jim and Sharon Wade finished in third place taking the last Bonus Bucks spot and a new rod.
