Jan 6, 2018 at RD Keene Park on Lake Butler

 Our first tournament of the year for Fishers of Men Central Florida Legacy Division was held on Lake Butler in Windermere.  Our Friday night meeting was held at Andretti Indoor Karting and Gaming located at 9299 Universal Blvd, Orlando, FL 32819. This was our only Friday meeting as we will be having them after our weigh in on tournament days for the rest of the year. We had 10 teams returning from last year and 3 new teams join in the fun. We welcome Wayne and Hunter Eastridge, Jason Casteel and Kody Keller and Matt and Jacob Gurgacz to the Legacy group. I can't say enough about Andretti's hosting our meeting. Our room was set up perfectly, audio system was second to none, food was wonderful and Matt Craig and the entire staff made sure all was well. Billy Taylor delivered a stellar spiritual message as always that got everybody thinking about their place with Christ. We did not have any new dedications but we did have some prayer requests we will be following up on. We launched to a cool 36 degrees with a 10mph wind coming from the north. 13 boats made the trip and launched successfully about 6:50am. It was a tough day for fishing but as usual someone did their homework and found the fish. That team was Dave and Bryce DiMauro. They finished with 17.76lbs besting second place by 5lbs. We did have a tie for second, Matt/Jacob Gurgacz and Jason Casteel/Kody Keller each had 12.71lbs. Roy/Hailey Jones were close behind with 11.59lbs. I can't thank everyone enough for dealing with the weather and sticking around till weigh in. Our next tournament will be at Johns Lake 2/3/2018 safe light to 1pm. Our meeting, message and lunch will follow weigh in. As a reminder please make sure you get your payment for the next tournament as soon as possible. I will be drawing boat numbers on the Monday before the tournament on January 29th at 7pm so please get them in before I do so. Please contact me with any questions
