CJ Johnston and Matt Stanley dominate on Badin Lake and take home the $3,000 1st place prize money!
North Albemarle Baptist Church hosted our Friday night event. The meal and hospitality was great! All you can eat Lasagna, salads and homemade desserts. Our very own Curtis Cox was our speaker for the night and he brought a message from Luke: 15 vs 11-20. The Parable of the lost son. Reminding us all that wherever we are in our walk of life God is willing and ready to receive us as his own.
I want to thank Pastor Brad Lynch, Curtis Cox and all of the staff of North Albemarle Baptist for a wonderful night. We had one of our anglers to renew their commitment to Christ.
Saturday morning started off with cool temperatures but at least the winds had died down from the day before. Badin Lake is known for big fish and it didn’t take long before they started showing up at the scales. The team of CJ Johnston and Matt Stanley weighed in a limit of 26.75 lbs. to take home 1st place and $3,000. The team of Robert Mixon and Scott Henley was 2nd place with 16.03 lbs. and winnings of $1,262 edging out the 3rd place team of Todd Treece and Lance who had 16.97 lbs. and took home $700. Rounding out the teams in the money was Ray Furr and Dean Collins 4th place. 5th place was Bo and John Russell and six place went to Josh and Neil Preslar. The team of Jonathan Hatley and Dustin Fincher had the big fish of the day which weighed 6.48 lbs.
