Good Evening Folks ,

Well our Memorial Day weekend Tournament went off well. We held our Friday night meeting at Cameron Ave Church of Christ. They served an awesome Barbeque and baked beans, mac and cheese with all the fixings and a mouthwatering desert table. The desert table included one of the best cherry cobblers I have tasted, also lemon and chocolate cake just to name a few.

Our Team Chaplan and Church Pastor Daniel Roberts  delivered  our post meal blessing and the meeting started with trophies and recognition of the Anna winners 1^st , 2^nd  and third along with big fish received trophies and team  Beasley and Neff won the” Just out of money”  prize sponsored by J.B. Custom Rods.  Team  Krahenbill and Hammond  won the” Hard luck one that got away “ prize sponsored by J.B.Custom Rods .

Larry Little one of the church elders delivered our inspirational speech about trusting and taking time for yourself and trusting our Lord.

After his talk we passed the response cards out and received three rededications.  We reviewed the rulers and had a safety talk on the flooded waters for the following day.  We then raffled some door prizes and picked boat numbers and Pastor Daniel adjourned us in prayer.

We met and started boat checks at 5:00 Saturday morning at Seven Springs Marina . Boat checks went well and quick. Thanks to all having their boats ready. Curtis taxied with Team Smith out to the no wake zone and released the field to fish after a morning prayer again from Pastor Daniel.

Teams were fishing by 5:45 which proved to help some boat their five by 6:30 according to interviews conducted at weigh in.

All teams returned to the check in post by 1:00 and weigh in commenced.   There were plenty of by standers watching our weigh in as they were continuing to put boats in and out of the marina. The marina was busy all day and kept the crew entertained throughout the day while our teams were fishing.

Fortunately there were no catastrophic incidences at the ramp.  Only a pushed around honor ramp fee pole but it survived.  Pleasure boaters loading and unloading, none of our people. This is why we moved the Check in spot to stay away from the congestion.

Our next and final stop for year 2018 will be at Rock-a- hock campground on the Chickahominy River   June 23, 2018.Our Friday night meeting will be located in the Club House. We will see you there .
