We had our Friday night meeting at the Connection church in Newburn Va, with speaker James Wagner giving us a nice message about catching the big one. We had a very nice meal prepared by the church group. We then had several raflle giveaway items and then we gave out boat numbers and went over the rules and highlights of Saturdays tournament. 

On Saturday morning we had 10 boats and we blasted off just after 6am with clear skies and about 60 degrees. We then had our weigh in at 1pm during the heat of the day and right at 90 degrees and when the weights were in Darren Keith and his two boys Hunter and Joshua were the winners and they also had the big fish of the tournament with a 3.60Lb Largemouth bass. They found most of there bass while sight fishing.

I pray that we have a larger turnout next tournament and that we grow our division more and more each year. I also hope and pray that thru our ministry we reach alot of children, they are our future leadership and our future conservationist.The future of bass fishing will at some point be at the hands of our children so if we teach them right we should never have to worry about years and years of good fishing to come.
