2018 Legacy Series Championship
The 2018 Shakespeare Legacy Series Championship hosted by Decatur Morgan County Tourism is complete.
Day two started with a cool morning and temperatures expected to be slightly warmer than day one. Numerous teams were still within reach of the championship depending on their day two catch as they chased our day one leaders, Allen and Luke Johnson.
Team Beck made their charge on day two and brought three fish to the scales weighing 8.45 lbs for a total two day catch of 16.74 lbs and the title of 2018 Legacy Champions. Congratulations to Donny and Colby for their victory. Along with the 1st prize payout they will be eligible to fish in the Team Championship on Lake Hartwell next spring. The team of Jake Roberson and Miller Hunt made a big jump day two on the strength of the day’s big bass weighing 4.12 lbs giving them a two day total of 16.45 lbs. Third place went to our day one leaders Allen and Lake Johnson who had a two day total of 15.37 lbs. In fourth was the team of Greg and Wyatt Tomlin with a two day total of 15.31 lbs..
Along with the top four teams the teams below also qualified to fish the Team Championship with a chance to win a Basscat/Mercury prize package.
