Thanks to First Baptist Church in Decatur and the Tourism Board for hosting our season opener.  Our 33 teams were treated to Marco's Pizza.  Chris Cooper, fellow FOM member, brought our devotion.  He challenged each of us to remember what being a Fishers of Men really means.  

The weather did not provide ideal fishing conditions, with flooding all around.  Wheeler was muddy and had some floating debris so all our teams used some extra precautions.  We had a little rain during the morning, but very little wind and even some sunshine by afternoon.  We had several teams that weighed in fish and a lot of teams that just couldn't get anything to weigh in.  Our top finishers were:

1. Mike Crump - Del Colvin with 18.59 pounds and big fish at 7.1 pounds
2. Tevan Lanskter - Ethan Springer wtih 17.37 pounds
3. Nick Reeves - Andrew Hamilton with 15.32 pounds
4. Tony Ladd - Gregg Ladd with 13.41 pounds
5. Bradley Cross - Gabby Tate with 12.63 pounds
6. Chris Newell - Roger Motes with 9.81 pounds

Our next tournament will be on 3/22/19 on Guntersville Lake.  The meeting will be held at the Beach Pavillion on 3/23/19.  Registration starts at 5:30 pm and the meeting will begin at 6:00 pm.  Late fees of $25.00 are in effective, so get your entries posted by March 15th.
