First tornament of the yea and rain was in the forcast, well it didnt dampen our spirits at the meeting, thanks to Boydton Baptist Church and Boydton Fire Department for hosting us this year, your meal was filling and y'all always know what we like to eat. God bles you for helping us out.

Thanks to Pastor Steve Kidd for providing us a great message, you made sure we understood that we as Christians have been given a great commission to go out and show folks who Christ is through our lives. Thanks so much Steve for sharing the message.

Well Saturday was a rain storm of all storms, I dont think I have ever witnessed a tournament where it rained none stop the entire tournament like it did on all of us. Thanks to all the fisherman for participating in this tournament. We had 24 teams competing despite the 38 degree temps and the massive amount of rain we got. Kerr Lake didnt show itself as a result, the weights were low. At the end of the day though we did have a few fish cross our scales.

The team of Steve Highfield and Jeff Mills brought in 12.9lbs with a 4.24 kicker to win the tournament. Subsequently they won big bass as well with the 4.24lb large mouth.congrats to two well deserving champions. They gutted it out all day in one creek off the main channel, using creature baits, jigs and other slow moving baits, fishing trees and brush to catch there fish. 

Second place went to the team of Jason Suggs and Calton Hall with a weight of 10.65lbs, Third went to the team of Samuel Fisher and Aaron Fisher with a weight of 10.23lbs, and fourth went to the male / female team of James "Mike" Garber and Edwina Garber wth 10.01lbs. Just out of the money winners were Ryan Roller and Garry Colwell with a weight of 9.47lbs, they took home two new fishing rods from Rio Rods.
