Fulmer & Sox best the 66 Team Field with a Massive Stringer! WOW!!! SC Lowcountry kicked off a new era in Fishers of Men with our first ever single day event! And WOW is the only way to describe it. From the Chili that was fixed for our anglers by the men of Chapin Baptist Church to the brief but spot-on message brought by Ron Barker to the incredible fishing there really aren’t words to describe this one 66 Teams registered to take their shot at the guaranteed $4000 First Place, a 20 boat increase from our first event of 2018. A great 4 day warming trend was put to a halt Saturday morning by a cold front but that did nothing to slow down the fishing as 59 teams brought a 5 fish limit to the scales! In a slugfest that featured 20 bags over 20 lbs, which took over 21 ½ lbs to even get a check our anglers managed to bring 306 fish to the scales that weighed 1132.39 lbs That’s an average of 3.70 lbs per fish WOW!. Even better was the 100% live release of these Lake Murray beauties to be caught again. Leading the field was the team of Kevin Fulmer and Tim Sox who brought a whopping 28.36 lbs to the scales earning them the $4000 First place check plus another $637 in Bonus Bucks! Great job! WOW! Finishing 2nd was the Father/Son team of Justin and Ty Fain who drove the longest distance to be here, making the trek from their home in OHIO where their water is still frozen they made the trip pay off with a great bag that tipped the scales at 27.32 lbs. They reported catching their fish on reaction baits. To top it off they were the highest team registered in the NEW Berkley Cast for Cash Program which earned them an additional $250. Altogether they won $1500! WOW! Landing in 3rd was the team of Brad Rutherford and Tanner Parker who caught the their fish on Berkley crankbaits. They brought 24.94 lbs to the scales and were the 2nd highest Berkley Cast for Cash winners which added another $150 to their earnings! Finishing 4th was the Team of Scott Farmer and CJ Freeman who brought 24.24 to the scales and rounding out the top 5 was the team of Davey Thomas and Deron Donohoo who had a great catch of 23.82 lbs The Sportsman's Warehouse Big Fish of the Day went to the team of Ross Burns and Dane Odom with a 8.96 lb monster!
