Our second tournament of the year was held in Amelia at the Amelia Public Landing. Despite the high water conditions we had 35 boats!! Our meeting was held at the American Legion Hall in Pierre Part. We had shrimp fettuccini, corn and bread. Our message was given by Randy Crochet. The message was based on remembering how much love our true Father has for us and to put all our trust and faith in Him!
The tournament began with prayer led by Winston Michel. The water was much higher than normal, but there were plenty of limits caught. 1st place went to Willie and Warren Couch with a weight of 16.12 lbs. 2nd place and Big Bass went to Sandy Gaudet and Winston Michel with a weight of 13.18 lbs. anchored with a 4.55 lb kicker. 3rd place went to Tom and TJ Goins with a weight of 12.42 lbs. 4th place went to Ryan Gomez and Bryan Mistretta with a weight of 12.02 lbs. 5th place went to Travis Laurent and Bradley Matt with a weight of 11.93 lbs. 6th place went to Cody Smith and Justin Mayers with a weight of 11.57 lbs. 7th place went to Todd Murray with a weight of 11.03 lbs.
We want to thank 23rd Judicial District Attorney Ricky Babin for sponsoring the meal for our Friday night meeting. We also want to thank Tina Cavalier and Tyler Cavalier for helping prepare the food.
