Day two of the District 7 Championship
Day two got off to a great start with everyone blasting off in fantastic weather. Many of the teams are within striking distance of the lead and it really is going to depend on the days catch to determine the winner. At the three oclock deadline we had teams racing to the check in trying to get every last cast they could to get a win.
The team of Gray and Gray were the first place team on day two with a bag weighing 17.63. Second place honors went to the team of Frowick and Brookshear with a sack weighing 16.62. Third place went to Ellison and Hukill with a 15.99 stringer. Big fish was caught by the team of Gray and Gray with a 10.25 bucket mouth!! Mercy that was a beautiful fish! It was caught on a “Pop-R” early that morning. Congrats to the day two winners!
The District 7 Championship concluded with the TexasEast Team of Joshua Kieffer and Jared Pollard taking home the Championship honors and check with a two day total of 33.27. Second place was won by the team of Cameron Frowick and Kyle Brookshear with their two day total of 32.79. Rounding out our top three was the team of Randy Parks and Steve Terry with their total of 31.64. Congratulations to all of these fine competitors! Additional props need do go out to the lake itself, Lake Ray Hubbard, as it has proven itself to be a worthy competitor against some really good sticks. We can’t say enough about the fantastic tournament setting and the unbelievable hospitality that was shown to us by the Garland Sports Events group in our stay in Garland and we look forward to coming back and making this a regular stop on our trail!District 7 Championship on Ray Hubbard-Day 2 - 10/05/19
