2019 Berkley Team Series District 6 Championship

The district 6 championship began with a great meeting and meal provided by our fantastic host, Cajun Coast Visitors and Convention Bureau!  Vanessa Spinella and Carrie Stansbury were present to welcome and serve us the Jambalaya that makes South Louisiana famous!  Regional Chaplain Rusty West shared his heart and the Lord moved in a big way as we had seven men and women rededicate their lives and to top it off in the very best way we had a man give his heart to the Lord for the first time.  What a great way to start a Fishers of Men event!!

Day 1 saw us blast off 33 teams with calm weather and balmy temps.  At the end of the day almost every team came to the scales with a limit of fish. The Louisiana South teams carried the freight on day one.   Michel and Gaudet took first place honors on the first day with a sack that weighed 15.23.  Wilson and Warren Couch followed with  a stringer weighing 12.68.  Bourque and Stein rounded out the top three with a 12.49 bag.  The team of Salvadras and Salvadras took big bass bragging rights with a bucket mouth that weighed 5.08.  There are multiple teams that are within  a pound or two from jumping to the lead as we head into the second day!
