Friday night we were served a meal of Lawler's BBQ, slaw, baked beans and cobbler.  The meal was sponsored by St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.  Due to the weather, our meeting was moved indoors to The Gathering Place in the Guntersville State Park Campground.  We had 48 teams register for the tournament.  Our speaker was fellow fishermen Darryl Whitehead. 

Saturday morning was cold and windy with a few snow flurries.  The teams had to fight the wind and rough waters all day. Our first place winners were Kent and Shannon Ware with 20.68 pounds.  Second place came in at 20.20 pounds and was caught by John Hayes and Wesley Williams.  Our third place winners, Brian and Kim Moye had a bag weighing in at 19.29 pounds along with big fish, weighing 5.85 pounds. Laine Cooley and Samuel Bailey placed fourth with 18.8 pounds.  Fifth place went to Andy Lash and sub with 17.87 pounds.  Noah Dillon and Randy Harbin placed sixth with 16.92 pounds.  Chris Baldus and Chet Borden had 16.66 pounds for seventh place.  Eight place was secured by Andrew and Lacey Lambert with 16.16 pounds.  Our last paid place, 9th, went to Moe Moyer and Chis Keel with 15.89 pounds.  Thank you to all of our teams that braved the weather to come out and fish with us.  

Please join us for our next tournament, scheduled for 5/7/2022 on Smith Lake.  We will be launching out of Smith Lake Park. Remember to mail in your entries; they should be post-marked no later than 5/1/2022. Our Friday night meeting will be held at Meek Baptist Church.  The address to the church is 360 Helicon Rd, Arley, AL.
