Scott and Matt Henley take first place at Tillery and take home over $4,600 in winnings, to kick off the FOM NC Piedmont 2022 season.
We began the morning with Curtis Cox bringing God’s awesome word.

Blessed once again to be able to bring the Word of God to 69 teams Saturday at the NC Fishers of Men tournament!
We walked thru John 1:1-5, 17.
We need to remain focused on who Jesus is my brothers/sisters!
Remembering that the darkness cannot overtake the light. That light is in you, go tell the world!
Thank You Lord for your “grace and truth that came through Jesus Christ.”
The weather for the tournament was overcast with a few sprinkles of rain for the first few hours, then the wind blew in the afternoon. Several smaller fish were biting but the big girls were not showing up. There was only a hand full of fish over five lbs. and only half the teams had a limit.
The Team of Scott and Matt Henley were able to land the winning catch of 17.04 lbs. They reported catching their fish on crankbaits and rattle traps two to four feet deep. They took home winnings of $4,637
One of our Legend anglers Gary Abbott with partner Greg Gooch took 2nd place with 15.66 lbs. and winnings of $1,582.
The Rock Outdoors team of Steve Summer and Jason Thomas captured 3rd place with 15.42 lbs. and winnings of $1,255. 4th place went to Chris Coble and Jim Long with 15.18 lbs. and winnings of $700. 5th place and the big fish of the tournament of 6.21 lbs. went to Chris and Tanner Albright. Their weight of 15.13 lbs. brought them $1,000 in winnings. Rounding out the teams in the money was 6th place Jarrett Freeze and Rodney Adams with 14.80. 7th place Michael and Josh Love with 14.25 lbs. 8th place Ethan and Brad Austin with 13.75. 9th place Ronnie Smith and Randy Weddington 13.37 lbs. 10th place Robin Collins and Ronnie White 13.01. 11th place Cody Thompson and Ethan Cox 12.66 lbs. 12th place Zac Gooch and Derrick Taylor 12.22 lbs. 13th place was a tie Todd Harris and Chris Brown and the team of Alan Griffin and Kevin Chandler both with 12.18 lbs.
- Steve Summer and Jason Thomas won the $250 bonus for highest placing team in a new boat purchased from Rock Outdoors in the last 36 months.
- Our Legends bonus winner was David Snyder who will receive $150 Rock Outdoor gift certificate.
- The Team Out of the money drawing winner Brad Peyton and Chuck Huffman will win a free entry into one of our regular season tournaments.
Our payout was a record, over $10,000 and 69 teams. Our trail is continuing to grow and I want to thank all of you for fishing with us. Please tell your friends!!!
