With our third tournament in the books and over halfway finished with the year.... Dale Hollow didn't disappoint this past Saturday. Most of our teams brought in five fish limits and had many other keepers they culled throughout the day! With temperatures at blast-off around 65 degrees, it was a beautiful day to be on the water. Most of the day was sunny with little wind, but we did have a couple hours with cloud cover and a light breeze pushing in a front. The high for Saturday ended up around 88 degrees, but all the anglers had a great day on the water!

Our winning team of Wilcher and Sebastian brought in 17.46 pounds of Dale Hollow Lake largemouth! Go visit our Facebook page and look at this fine bag of fish! Wilcher and Sebastian targeted post spawn largemouth on main lake areas in the 10' - 15' range. Most of their fish were caught on bottom contact baits such as large worms and brush hogs. Our second place team of Ingram and Grant did the exact opposite of our winning team. They targeted spawning bass in super shallow water with creature and beaver style baits. Most of their fish were caught in 1' - 5' of water in the back of pockets and creeks. Our third place team of Brinegar and Walker targeted transition banks that were more bluff style banks. Their fish were caught on bottom bouncing baits as well, such as jigs and shaky heads, in that 10' - 15' depth zone. Our big fish of the tournament was caught on a jig by the team of Shelton and Shelton. That fish weighed 4.25 pounds and was caught near a cypress tree. The team started their day offshore fishing, but realized the quality was not their to win. After a couple hours, the team moved shallow and started fishing jigs and bottom contact baits around trees and wood cover.

All in all, our third tournament of the year was phenomenal. The anglers really had a great day of fishing and the weather couldn't be beat! Our Friday night meeting was a success and we want to thank Burkesville Baptist Church for hosting our meeting. The food was awesome and the devotional was great!
