~~Welcome to Virginia East Legacy Series! Our division is committed to introducing youth, Our Next Generation, to competitive bass fishing in a family-oriented environment unlike any other. Come experience the excitement, the thrill, the inspiration and cherish the memories that last a life time. We offer many additional Bonuses, Prizes and Awards in addition to everything the national organization has to offer.  

We in the process of continuing to regrow the VA-East Legacy division through the cooperation of our sponsors supporting our divisional incentive programs. More importantly through the Families, Friends and Anglers themselves in sharing experiences with others and, spreading the word about our professionally ran tournament trail.  We thank all the teams for their participation in 2024, their families and friends for providing them support and encouragement along the way. Come see what we are about in 2025 and spent some quality family time with your kids or grand kids which is our next generation.

To participate, a team must consist of one angler who has reached his/her 19th birthday before Jan 1 , 2025 and one angler who has not reached his/her birthday before Jan 1  2025. To register, complete the Legacy member application on line at the National website. the membership shall go directly to the National office .There is a pay-pal button to pay .  There are only two types of membership one Family membership which allows you to fish whatever  Team or Legacy and individual Membership which allows to fish one trail. There is a small paypal processing fee that will be added to the membership. The memberships are $40 for individual and $60 for family plus processing fee. Additional Legacy membership information can be found on the Legacy Home page on the National website  www.FOMNTT.com . They will be accepting memberships starting January 1, 2025 and would like to extend an invitation to join us this season where young anglers and their adult partners continue to compete in professional team trail tournaments.  To register for the regular season event scroll down and clink on the indivisual detail link for a particluar event.  On line payment options are available as noted.   

Tournament Plaques and Year End Awards are provided by our sponsors and money raised by our anglers at our raffle table and from family's within our organization.

RETURNING for 2025:
 VA EAST LEGACY SERIES DIVISIONAL INCENTIVES These bonuses, prizes and awards are exclusive to the 2025 season of the VA East Division "Legacy Series". They have been set up to provide our participants additional recognition and prizes above and beyond the national program. They have also been set up to reward regular team participation, timely payment of tournament fees and to minimize tournament penalties. Please remember that if you become ineligible to receive any of them you still have the opportunity to receive all the benefits of the national Legacy program and you are not being penalized in any manner. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, products of similar value may be substituted for the advertised prizes and awards. In all cases, the winning teams or individuals are responsible for collecting trophies and any prizes. Pending seasonal sponsorship's additional awards and prizes may come available. Interpretation of these rules and restrictions will be left exclusively to the VA East Division Legacy Director and all decisions made will be final in all matters. Details will be forthcoming prior to the beginning of our season regarding divisional incentive rules.

Divisional Points Champions

This award has been set up to recognize the highest placing adult and youth team in the year-end points standings.  The winning team will receive plaques to commemorate this accomplishment. To be eligible for this year-end highest cumulative point’s award, please see the Legacy National Rules for details.

Youth Big BASS Award’ Sponsored by Richmond Marine Center

This award has been set up to recognize one individual catching the heaviest bass during a regular season tournament, Only a youth can participate…   PLEASE USE CULLING TAG TO IDENTIFY THE YOUTHS BIG FISH.  In addition, ONE team member must have attended the Friday night pre-tournament meeting and their team's complete entry must have been received (or postmarked) by the entry deadline (8 days prior to the tournament).  Also, ONE team member must attend the following tournament's Friday night pre-tournament meeting (where the prize will be awarded) and their team's complete entry must have been received (or postmarked) by that tournament's entry deadline.  Participants fishing solo, fishing with a substitute partner, paying late or receiving any tournament penalties are not eligible.  In the event of a tie a winner will be chosen by random drawing.  The winning individual will receive $25 Dances Sporting Goods gift card to commemorate this accomplishment. 

 ‘Just Out of the Money’ Consolation Prize. Sponsored by JB Custom Rods

This ‘Just Out of The Money’ consolation prize will be awarded to the team who places one place out of the money for each regular season tournament.  This prize will be 1 JB custom rod valued at approximately $190 total retail value.   To be eligible, at least one fish of legal size must be weighed in and the team cannot place in the money for the tournament.  In addition, ONE team members must have attended the Friday night pre-tournament meeting and their team's complete entry must have been received (or postmarked) by the entry deadline (8 days prior to the tournament).  Also, ONE team member must attend the following tournament's Friday night pre-tournament meeting (where the refund will be awarded) and their team's complete entry must have been received (or postmarked) by that tournament's entry deadline.  Participants fishing solo, fishing with a substitute partner, paying late or receiving any tournament penalties are not eligible.  In the event of a tie a winner will be chosen by random drawing.  If a team is eligible to win ONE the just out of the money and the last place consolation prizes, they can choose between the two.  For the last regular season tournament, the prizes will be awarded at that tournament with similar participation requirements from the previous meeting and tournament having been met.

 ‘One That Got Away’ Consolation Prize. Sponsored by JB Custom Rods

This ‘One That Got Away’ consolation prize will be awarded through a drawing to the team / teams that did not weigh-in a legal fish for each regular season tournament.  This prize will be 1 JB custom rod valued at approximately $190 total retail value.  To be eligible, no fish of legal size must be weighed in and the team cannot place in the money for the tournament.  In addition, ONE team members must have attended the Friday night pre-tournament meeting and their team's complete entry must have been received (or postmarked) by the entry deadline (8 days prior to the tournament).  Also, ONE team members must attend the following tournament's Friday night pre-tournament meeting (where the prizes will be awarded) and their team's complete entry must have been received (or postmarked) by that tournament's entry deadline.  Participants fishing solo, fishing with a substitute partner, paying late or receiving any tournament penalties are not eligible.  In the event of a tie a winner will be chosen by random drawing.  If a team is eligible to win both the just out of the money and the last place consolation prizes, they can choose between the two.  For the last regular season tournament, the prizes will be awarded at that tournament with similar participation requirements from the previous meeting and tournament having been met.

‘Community Service Award. Sponsored by Fishin’ Va Guide Service – Eddie Griggs. 

Specializing in Children & Beginners.

This “Community Service Award" year-end prize will be awarded to the junior or senior youth angler providing a community service through their Church, Bass Club, School etc.  An official person (pastor, principle/vice, club president etc. must provide a nomination letter to the Director of the VA East Legacy by 1 June 2025.  The nomination can be sent by US Mail (Director’s address is on the divisional webpage) or in person at the last tournament of the year.   The directors will decide the winner.  This prize will be FULL day (5 to 7 hour) guide trip on Chickahominy River valued at approximately $375 total retail value.  To be eligible, a copy of your report card must be presented at the last pre-tournament meeting.  In addition, the youth junior or senior must have attended ALL Friday night pre-tournament events, and participate in all three regular season tournaments and their team's complete entry must have been received (or postmarked) by the entry deadline (8 days prior to the tournament).  Participants fishing solo, fishing with a substitute partner, paying late or receiving any tournament penalties are not eligible.  Note: The parent, legal guardian or team partner will accompany the junior or senior angler on the guide trip for a fun filled day on the water.

‘Junior Angler ‘Big BASS Award’ (Junior Angler ONLY) Sponsored by Curtis & Rhonda Welton

This award has been set up to recognize one individual catching the heaviest bass (including the dead fish penalty if the heaviest fish weighed is dead) during a regular season tournament who has consistently participated in our events throughout the year.   The age category is 13 years and under is for the junior angler who has not reached their 14th birthday prior to January 1, 2025. PLEASE USE CULLING TAG TO IDENTIFY THE YOUTHS BIG FISH and state age. The winning individual will receive plaque provided by Curtis and Rhonda Welton to commemorate this accomplishment.  To be eligible for this year-end award, the junior angler must have attended ONE (1) Friday night pre-tournament event and participate in ONE of the three (1) regular season tournaments.  No substitutes.

‘Big Bag Award’

This award has been set up to recognize the team catching the heaviest bag of bass (including all penalties) during a regular season tournaments who has participated in our events throughout the year. The winning team will receive plaques to commemorate this accomplishment. To be eligible for this year-end award, ONE team member must have attended ONE of the three (3) Friday night pre-tournament events, and participate in ONE of the three (3) regular season tournaments. 

 ‘Big Fish Award’

This award has been set up to recognize the individual catching the heaviest bass (including the dead fish penalty if the heaviest fish weighed is dead) during a regular season tournaments who participated in our events throughout the year. The winning individual will receive a plaque to commemorate this accomplishment.  To be eligible for this year-end award, individual member must have attended ONE of the three (3) Friday night pre-tournament events, and participate in ONE of the three (3) regular season tournaments.
