48 teams competed in the 4th SC Upstate RUSSELL event on 4/24/21.

The morning started with a break in the weather during our devotion with Tim Haulbrook.  Tim shared a portion if his personal testimony dealing wth a time that he was overtaken by fear.  This was a bad kind of fear that began to crush his spirit to the point that he was ready to end it all.... 

That's when he was introduced to the 911 in the bible.  Psalms 91:1 which says "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty."  Tim's fears were fed by the darkness, as he didn't personally seek to be in the PRESENCE os the MOST HIGH.   This verse reminds us that if we "dwell" in teh Lord, he will protect us.  This protection comes in many forms, but a couple of those are emotional and spritual.  

No matter we you are, or what fears you may have, let me remind you that when you are in trouble you can call 911.  When you do, you can claim the following verse 91:2 that says I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I TRUST."  Let God be your refuge today!!

Saturday's weather was wet and windy for most of the day, but we did get a nice break after 1pm for our weigh in.  Praise the LORD!!  The fish didn't seem to mind the weather much, as there were several nice bags that came acroos the scales.  210 fish to be exact, totaling 475 lbs.

Congratulations to Mack Robbins and Will Griffin with the win and a 19.38 lb sack and a 6.42 lb brute to bring it home.  That earned them a payday of $2,500 dollars.

Jason Burroughs and Darren Ashley were a close second with 19.14 lbs, and with 1st place Bonus Bucks they had a pretty good payday with $1,913.
