We welcomed Beryl back for the second time as our Thursday night guest speaker. He shared the gospel of John 4 (Jesus and the Samaritan woman). Jesus come to us even when we are down and not aware of our on sins. Don't turn away from that tug at your heart to grow your relationship with our lord. 

The Spillway high and muddy water didn't stop 48 boats to come out and fishing the tough conditions. A few teams decided to make 120 mile round trip run to Lake Fausse point and boy did it pay off. 1st place was Sandy and Winston with a 15.28 worth $6050 that included $490 big bass and 1st place bonus bucks. 2nd place was team Chucky and Josh Son with a solid sack weighing 15.03lbs and a paycheck worth $1530. 3rd place was team Cavell and Wheat with 12.05lbs worth $1228. 

Honesty and integrity are two things that all anglers take pride in tournament trials. We had two instances of that, this tournament. Team Billeaud and Champange made the 120 mile round trip and put the beat down on some huge bass that weighted in at a whooping 19.35 anchored by a huge 5.38lbs. Even though they had the winning weight they self reported that they accidentally drove through a No Wake Zone and their fish was disqualified. After this happen team Dominges and Choate also reported that they drove through the same no wake zone. After speaking with the Sheriff office and making sure that it was a true no wake zone both team catches were DQ. I do think that both team made an honest mistake and do appreciate their honesty.

Boundaries: 

Can not go north from the Pipe line across from Adams boat launch to the Atchafalaya levee at Stouts Point. 

Can not go north from Stouts point on Atchafalaya levee west to Calumet cut and HWY 90. 

Can not go north from Hwy 90 west to the Atchafalaya levee to interstate 10.

Can not go east of Bayou Shaffer all the way to the gulf.

You can go to Lake Fausse point through the Balwin cut. 

Captains Meeting : Thursday April 29th sign up starts at 6 PM and meeting to follow at 7pm

Parking : Please park on the right hand side of the church parking lot and in gravel lot on the right hand side behind the office. They will have youth confirmations at 6 PM in the church and we want to make sure they have plenty of parking.

For the teams that both anglers attend meeting, there will be a drawing for a $150 valued prize.

One angler must attend the meeting to be qulifiy for the additional payouts.
