Ronnie White and Robin Collins hoisted the trophies and took home over $3,800 after wrangling five bass from a very tough Lake Norman that weighed a total of 17.3 lbs. to kick off the NC Piedmont season
We began the morning with prayer and a message about God’s love. He has never loved you less nor will he ever love you more than he does today.
We were blessed with nice weather Saturday it was a little cool as we blasted off 49 boats to start, but warmed up quickly. As the anglers started coming to the scales it was apparent that the bite was way off for Lake Norman. Our first place team Ronnie White and Robin Collins didn’t have a problem bringing in 17.3 lbs. and the Big Fish of the tournament of 6.61lbs. 2nd place and $1,000 went to Samuel Thomas and John Harris with 12.69 lbs. Tony and Penny McCraw took 3rd with 12.50 lbs and $700 winnings. Rounding out the teams in the money was 4th place Mark and Audrey Bayse with 12.41. Eddie Caudill and Frank Denny took 5th with 12.08 lbs. 6th place went to Todd Harris and Chris Brown with 11.83 lbs. 7th place went to Eric Moser and Jeffery O’Quinn with 11.67 lbs. 8th place went to Chris Coble and Jim Long with 10.77 lbs. and 9th place went to Duane Rinkus and Andy Burch with 10.59 lbs.
Chris Brown won the Rock Outdoors $250 bonus for the highest place finish in a Rock Outdoor purchased boat.
Dave Snyder and John Griffin won the $500 cash drawing
Smith Ray won the $50 Rock Outdoor gift certificate for the highest finishing youth under 16.
Kieran Stephenson won $50 Bass Pro gift certificate for the big bass for a junior.
We will be drawing for the team out of the money and our Legends bonus at our next tournament.
