Persistence Pays Off At Lake Russell

After a flat tire on their trailer on the way to the ramp and replacing dead trolling motor batteries mid morning, Tony Richardson and his son Phillip were able to still take top prize of over $1300 with a 5 fish limit weighing 14.43. Taking second place in the tournament and second place in points, was Baskin/Hughes with a limit weighing 13.63. Third place was Joe and Anthony Thompson with 12.91 with a 5.41 big bass award. Our points race is very tight with 1st through 3rd being each 1 point apart. We look forward to Lake Lanier where the entire lake will be on fire to various types of fishing! Will it be won with bed fish or main lake Herring eaters? Only time will tell..... I would like to give a special thank you to all of our anglers that donated to the Fishers of Men "Help a family in need fund", we will be donating $200 dollars from FOM North GA!
