We are off to great start in the 2021 Tournament Season. There were 23 teams who competed for $3450.00 today on Lake Springfield in our season opener. The Friday Night Pre-Tournament meeting was held at Lake Springfield Christian Assembly where the anglers were served a great meal prepared by The Boar's Nest (Athens, IL). The pulled pork sandwiches, baked Beans, and Pasta salad were fantastic! The Director gave the the new anglers an introduction to Fishers of Men and what they can expect. The good news was also shared with those in attendance, but not before the bad news was told first. May the Lord draw those who heard the message into a relationship with Him.

Saturday started off with a light rain and temps in the 50’s. The Director said a prayer for a safe day on the water and a bountiful catch for everyone. The team who would have the most bounty though was the team of Clay Reeves and Tim Rider with a whopping 18.00 lbs. They earned $1,342.00 and some nice plaques. Congratulations Clay and Tim on great sack of fish and the win! 2nd Place was the team of Chad and Greg Satterlee with 16.90lbs including the $500.00 Scheels Big Bass of the tournament with a 5.25lb largemouth earning them $1,209.00 and a beautiful Big Bass Plaque. 3rd Place was Gerry Sandretto and Wyatt Pazdro with 16.83lbs earning $536 plus the received 1st Place Bonus Bucks of $200.00 for a total of $736.00. 4th Place was the team of Herb Rush and Zach Pierce with a limit 16.53lbs $363.00 plus $120.00 for 2nd Place Bonus Bucks. There were 13 limits caught and every team brought fish to the scales. Thanks to all the anglers who made our first event a success! We look forward to seeing you again.
