Stop #2 of the Florida North Division on Lake Santa Fe was truly a weekend to remember—filled with Faith, Family, Fellowship, and Fishing.

The weekend kicked off Friday night at our returning Ministry Partner, Trinity Baptist Church of Keystone Heights. Pastor Clay once again blessed everyone with his famous, can’t-be-beat BBQ and signature sauce that had folks lining up for seconds. Johhny’s BBQ and Catering showed their support as well, providing delicious sides that perfectly complemented the feast.

Fifteen teams gathered at the church, ready for camaraderie and another shot at tournament glory. Between the laughter, shared stories, and incredible meal, friendships were strengthened and new ones were formed. Director Joe delivered an inspirational message on commitment, challenging each of us to examine whether our commitment to God is where it should be—or if it’s time to refocus. Anglers and their families left that evening encouraged, well-fed, and blessed.

Saturday morning greeted us with a warm, fog-covered Lake Santa Fe. As the mist slowly lifted, anticipation built. Once conditions allowed for safe launch, Chaplain Brock led us in prayer and the National Anthem, setting the tone for the day. With hearts centered and boats idling, the anglers were primed for blast-off.

The skies remained cloudy through most of the morning, but around 11:00 a.m., the conditions shifted—and so did the bite. Despite some challenging moments throughout the day, anglers began returning to the ramp for weigh-in, swapping stories of close calls, missed opportunities, and hard-earned catches.

The big question lingered: Would the lake win, or would someone bring a heavy bag to the scales?

One by one, teams checked in. For some, the day proved tough. For others, persistence paid off. In the end, just one pound separated the top of the field.

• Third place went to Robert Wright and Trevor Davis with a five-fish limit weighing 10.05 pounds.
• Second place was claimed by Tray Bozeman and Luke Wright with 12.13 pounds.
• Taking the win with 13.58 pounds was the team of Wallace Sykes and Jason Bowling.

The Realtree Fishing Monster Bass honors went to Clint Joyner and Grant Colson with an impressive 7.13-pound bass.

More than the standings, however, this weekend was about something greater. Memories were made. Friendships were strengthened. Camaraderie grew across the division. And most importantly, God received all the Glory, Honor, and Praise.

Thank you to our Ministry Partners, families, and anglers who continue to support this mission as we bring the Gospel to the fishing community.

Next stop: the St. Johns River, launching from Astor Boat Ramp. Stay tuned—and God bless!
