Stop No. 2 of the 2026 season is officially in the books—and what a weekend it was!

The action kicked off Friday night with incredible food from new Ministry Partner Cajun Cowboy Cuisine, setting the tone for an unforgettable event. Anglers and families gathered at the waterside meeting area at Camp Mack, which proved to be the perfect backdrop for fellowship and anticipation. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Carrie and her outstanding staff for hosting such a great weekend.

Director Joe delivered a powerful message that challenged everyone’s commitment—to God, to the trail, and to their families. It was a moment that left anglers inspired, recharged, and ready to compete with purpose. The evening wrapped up with laughter, stories, and fellowship before everyone turned in to prepare for tournament day.

Saturday morning, February 28, 2026, dawned cool and calm—68 degrees with overcast skies—as 18 teams gathered at the Camp Mack boat ramp. After check-in and livewell inspections, boats idled to the mouth of the canal, anticipation building with every passing minute. Then came the call—blastoff! One by one, teams roared off in pursuit of the title: Champion of the Kissimmee Chain.

As the day unfolded, the sun broke through intermittently, temperatures climbed, and even a stray shower drifted through. But the real heat was on the water. Who would claim the crown?

By weigh-in, the suspense was thick. Eighteen teams returned. Fifteen brought fish to the scales. Twelve had full limits. The chatter buzzed—who had the big bag?

Then came the answer.

Ben and Dan Smith stunned the crowd, dropping not one but two GIANT Kissimmee bass on the scales—9.29 pounds and 8.97 pounds—anchoring a jaw-dropping five-fish limit weighing 32.90 pounds. An absolute statement victory!

Hot on their heels were newcomers Will Brown and Andrew Hall, who made it clear they’re a team to watch, securing second place with an impressive 30.84 pounds.

Rounding out the podium were Josh Davis and John Brazzell, continuing their remarkable consistency with another 20-plus-pound performance, finishing third with 24.57 pounds.

When the final scale settled, a total of 241.49 pounds of Kissimmee Chain bass had been weighed—and in true stewardship fashion, all 69 of 69 bass were released to swim another day.

Next stop: April 18th on the St. Johns River out of Monroe Park boat ramp. The season is heating up, and we’ll see you there!

To our Ministry Partners, anglers, and families—thank you. Your support makes this ministry possible, and we pray God’s richest blessings over each of you.

Stay tuned. The best is yet to come.
